I agree 100% with everything you have to say. The whole thing could be better put together with more time and thought. It was all powered by a conversation on Twitter in a couple of days. So in order to keep the momentum, and for it to not be eclipsed by the next hot topic, I needed top act quickly. Hence the rushed format. I'm also MD of a new company, admin a community of Ning, blog and am generally tight for time. Many were missed off as a result but hopefully it started the debate and raised the profile for those nominees just that little bit wider (Keep in mind its still got another round to go). Wouldn't it be great if next year we didn't need to do it. I intend to hand the event over to the winner of this year and that call will be theirs. The whole thing could be better put together with more time and thought. It was all powered by a conversation on Twitter in a couple of days.
